A Review on Electrical Performances of Nanocrystalline Contact Materials

Nano technology is one of new areas in material developments, and nanocrystalline contact materials, such as CuCr and AgSnO2, may have different electrical performances from microcrystalline contacts. A review is made in this paper to compare performance differences between nanocrystalline and microcrystalline contact materials, including arcing durations, welding behaviors, chopping currents, breakdown voltages, and breaking capacities.
