In this paper, the application of computational modeling in the optimization of experimental setups for the production of CdZnTe single crystals from the melt is demonstrated on two characteristic examples, namely on the vertical Bridgman and vertical gradient method. The influence of adjustable parameters on the temperature, concentration and velocity fields, and on the positions and velocities of the moving interface is studied. Finally, the effect of uncertainty in material parameters on computed results is analyzed.}, number={2}, journal={Acta Polytechnica}, author={Kalbáč, A. and Černý, R. and Přikryl, P.}, year={2000}, month={Jan.} }
