This study focuses on the analysis of deformations in fabric formwork structures. Specifically, it examines the deformation of the supporting springs and the edges of the fabric formwork, which adopts the geometry of a hyperbolic paraboloid.
The deformation values of individual structural components are obtained through image-based processing and analysis. Adedicated procedure was developed to quantify the deformations of both the springs suspending the fabric and the boundary edges of the formwork.
The resulting data are used to characterize the structural behaviour over time, enabling the determination of the prestressing magnitude as a time-dependent variable. This, in turn, facilitates the prediction and control of the final shape of the structure after deformation.
