Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The authors warrant that the work is original and that it contains no content that is illegal or offends on any proprietary right or any copyright.
  • The authors warrant that they contributed significantly to the content and preparation of this work, and that they have seen and approve the content, authorship, order of author representation, and listing of references.
  • All authors agree that this work has not currently been sent for publication elsewhere and if it is accepted in Plasma Physics and Technology, it will not be submitted elsewhere.
  • All authors agree that the content of this work has not been published in any journal or in any ISBN identified  book..
  • Authors are obliged to include DOI identifier with cited references where available. DOIs can be found with the article full text, content, or article information at the journal (publication) or publisher website, or in the publisher on-line database.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

Author Guidelines

We welcome original high-quality scientific works that are interesting and beneficial for the scientific community. The journal publishes original research papers containing the results of basic research or applied research. Papers are accepted only in English.

Article submission charge or Article processing charge (APC, publication fee) is not required from authors - publishing in Plasma Physics and Technology is free of charge.

You can submit your manuscript to Plasma Physics and Technology solely by using the journal’s online submission system.

Contributions requirements

  • The paper must be written in fluent English and should report previously unpublished work
  • A typical manuscript should include 3 to 6 pages
  • Download our LaTeX template to see authors guidelines for contributions. If you are new in LaTeX, please, look through tutorials at the bottom of this page

How to work with template

  1. Download the template [zipped LaTeX document, 925 KiB]
  2. Unzip the downloaded archive
  3. Install TeX Live on your computer
    1. Download TeX Live installation file to your computer
    2. Run the installer, you have downloaded
    3. TeX Live installer will ask you whether you want to install all add-ons, please install them all
    4. TeX Live installation takes about two hours and you should be online for all the time
  4. Install a software to open TeX and LaTeX files, e.g. TexMaker
  5. Open the pptexaple.tex in TexMaker and edit it, it is the easiest way to learn create your own file
  6. To update the .pdf file you should compile your file, to do so, please, follow three easy steps written below. You should provide these steps each time you want to update your .pdf file. It is possible, that something will go wrong in the case you have a mistake in your LaTeX code. Please read the error notes carefully
    1. Run .tex file with pdfLatex in your TexMaker software, it will create .aux, .log and other files in your template directory
    2. Open the .aux file with TexMaker and run it with BibTeX, it will read your bibliography file
    3. Run the .tex file again twice, it will do links to your references
  7. Please write all references into the biblio.bib file and don't rename this file. The biblio.bib file contains all kinds of references e.g. book, article, websites etc. Please note, that only used references will be displayed in your .pdf. References, that are not used in the .tex file with command \cite{reference_name} won't display after .tex file compilation if even the biblio.bib file contains it.

Articles

High-quality scientific work that has not previously been published and that contains beneficial and original outputs. Articles should not be more than six journal pages.

Review Papers

High-profile articles that present an authoritative state-of-the-art account of the selected research field. Review papers should provide critical evaluation, placing personal work in the context of the wider literature. Some new unpublished research may be included. Articles should not be more than ten journal pages.

Fast-Tracking Abstracts

Brief summaries of conference contributions that contain the scope, purpose, results, and conclusions of the work. Fast-tracking abstracts are not peer-reviewed.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
