IRICoN 2020: High-Speed Lines – The Future of Czech Railways
Abstract
The conference IRICoN 2020 was held in Prague, in November 10, 2020.
The Student Scientific Conference IRICoN 2020 is focused on the current topic "High-speed lines - the future of the Czech railways". The main theme of the conference is the preparation and implementation of high-speed lines in the Czech Republic. High-speed lines (HSL) are planned on the following routes: Prague – Brno and further to Vienna and Bratislava, Brno – Ostrava – Katowice, Prague – Dresden, Prague – Munich and Prague – Wroclav. The construction of high speed lines is scheduled to begin in 2025 with a pilot project on the route Prague – Poříčany.
Based on the professional requirements and for orientation of the conference participants, the following areas of the conference topics were determined:
- Railway infrastructure.
- Energy and environment.
- Control command signalling.
- Maintenance.
- Logistics and management.
- Information systems.
- Rolling stock for high-speed rail connections.
