Journal History

Acta Polytechnica is a peer-reviewed Open Access scientific journal published by the Czech Technical University in Prague. This journal first appeared in 1961 under the name “Proceedings of the Czech Technical University”. The main purpose of the journal was to support publication of the results of scientific and research activities at the Czech technical universities. Five years later, in 1966, the name of the journal was changed to Acta Polytechnica, and it started appearing quarterly.

For several years Acta Polytechnica was listed by the Research, Development and Innovation Council of the Czech Government. Since the beginning of 2012, Acta Polytechnica has been indexed by the Scopus database, retroactively from volume 51 (2011). Acta Polytechnica has been indexed also in Web of Science ESCI edition from volume 56 (2016). The journal has Impact Factor since 2023.
