Publication update: Issue 3/2026 forthcoming following service restoration
Dear Readers, Authors and Reviewers,
Access to the publishing platform of Stavební obzor - Civil Engineering Journal was restored on 5 November 2026, following a disruption related to the international PHP security emergency.
On 21 October 2026, security updates were released to address two critical vulnerabilities in PHP (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619), a technology used by websites and online services worldwide. The flaws could allow attackers to run malicious code on vulnerable servers without logging in. The European Commission and European cybersecurity authorities urged organisations to apply the updates immediately.
CERT-EU also recommended temporarily isolating publicly accessible applications where updates could not be applied immediately. This explains why responding to the threat could require service interruptions as well as technical work.
The interruption to our publishing workflow prevented us from releasing Issue 3/2026 on its scheduled date of 31 October 2026. With access now restored, we are completing the final preparations and will publish the issue as soon as possible.
We sincerely apologise to our readers, authors and reviewers for the delay and any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support. We will publish a further announcement once the issue is available online.
Yours sincerely,
The Editorial Team
