Steel shear walls (SSWs) have been proposed as an effective lateral bearing system. Corrugated plates have been introduced as a suitable alternative to flat plates. Corrugated plates can be installed in different directions inside the perimeter frame. This study uses Abaqus finite element software (FES) to examine how SSWs with horizontal, vertical, and diagonal corrugated plates at varying angles without opening and with center circular apertures of varying sizes behave under cyclic lateral loading (LL). According to the findings, corrugated walls with diagonal orientations have a non-symmetrical hysteresis curve in contrast to those with horizontal and vertical orientations. Under tension, corrugated steel shear walls (CSSWs) are, therefore, at least 8% and up to 50% more resistant than those under compression. According to the results of this research, in corrugated shear walls without openings and with openings of different dimensions, the diagonal corrugated wall with an angle of 45 degrees to the horizontal line has the highest lateral resistance. The lowest resistance is obtained in horizontal corrugated walls. The difference in resistance of diagonal corrugated walls with an angle of 45 degrees compared to the horizontal corrugated wall without opening and with opening with dimensions of 400, 700, and 1000 mm is 22.1, 17.2, 13.6, and 14.9%, respectively. This research showed that adding openings to horizontal, vertical, or diagonal corrugated walls leads to a reduction in structural parameters. Also, the findings of this research showed that the out-of-plane deformation distribution in the studied samples is dependent on the angle of the diagonal corrugated plate. Moreover, the distribution of deformation in diagonal corrugated plates in the positive and negative directions of loading is reasonably different from each other. Another result of this research is that the equivalent viscous damping does not depend on the angle of the diagonal corrugated plate and the presence of the opening. In the samples examined in this study, the corresponding viscous damping value ranges from 32.89 to 37.82 percent.
