In the Czech Republic, transformation using local keys of transformation is the most accurate method for converting coordinates from the ETRS89 reference system to the national S-JTSK system. Its implementation depends on a set of selected identical points and the chosen transformation procedure. The most suitable procedure was found to be a 2D similarity transformation using Jung’s transformation and a quasi-geoid model for the transformation of the height component. At the same time, modifications were proposed to the rules for selecting identical points and for integrating GNSS measurements into the ETRS89 system.
