In order to study the influence of cable/sling damage on the natural vibration characteristics
of a special-shaped cable-stayed arch bridge without back cable. The natural vibration
characteristics of the bridge with different cable/sling damage and their different damage degree
are analysed. According to the characteristic of self-vibration of cable-stayed arch bridge without
back cable, the structural health of bridges can be diagnosed and evaluated.
